ABR Publishing Process and Publication Workflow
Step 1: Submission Acknowledgement: You will receive an email of confirmation from the Online Submission System.
Step 2: Basic Review/ Initial Check: The journal EIC determines whether a manuscript fits the journal’s aim and scope. This is a quick technical check to assess its suitability and completeness and to check for plagiarism. The manuscript is checked for its originality by Grammerly.
Step 3: Peer review: We use a double-blind system for peer-review. Both reviewers and authors’ identities remain anonymous. A manuscript will be peer-reviewed by at least two independent experts. We want to be fair, and add value through our robust peer review process.
Step 4: Acceptance/Rejection Decision: The decision to accept or reject a manuscript is based on the suggestions of reviewers. If differences of opinion occur between reviewers, the concerned associate editor will weigh all comments and arrive at a balanced decision based on all comments, or the second round of peer review may be initiated.
Step 5: Notification of the result of the review to the corresponding authors by E-mail: The authors are asked to make revisions based on comments from both the editorial board and external reviewers.
Step 6: Revision and Payment of APC: Author(s) should pay an article processing charge (APC) for an accepted manuscript. Once the revised submission is accepted and applicable APCs have been paid, we’ll produce XPS and PDF versions of the author's work, and send galley proofs.
Step 7: Online Fast Publication and Printed Publication: Manuscripts will be shortly published online upon if no correction and the galley proof accepted by the author. The printed version will be published in the scheduled volume and issue. Online Fast Publication is a featured way of publishing articles in ABR. It allows PDF versions of manuscripts that have been peer-reviewed and accepted, to be hosted online prior to their inclusion in a final printed issue. We’ll publish paper online — free to access worldwide, immediately. The author retains copyright and articles are published under a creative commons license (CC-BY-NC).
Step 8: Post-publication: Online PDF version of a manuscript is free to access and download. As per our open access policy, we guarantee that no university library or individual reader will ever have to buy a subscription or pay any pay-per-view fees to access articles in the electronic version of the journal. The author can archive post-print (ie final draft post-refereeing) or publisher's version/PDF and readers can freely access or cite the article.
